Taking place immediately after the climax of Dead Space 3 , Awakened sees Isaac Clarke and John Carver surviving the crash of the Terra Nova. Stranded, hallucinating, and hunted by a new breed of Necromorphs called "The Feeder," the duo must navigate a derelict flotilla of ships. The DLC strips away the military action of the main game and returns to the psychological horror of Dead Space 2 .
