Moving beyond Western-centric frameworks of youth rebellion, this study identifies three dominant trends: (1) the rise of hijrah (religious migration) as a social media aesthetic, (2) the localization of global streetwear and hip-hop into anak muda vernaculars, and (3) the emergence of sadar politik (political awareness) without traditional partisanship. Using netnography of TikTok, Instagram, and Discord communities, this paper argues that Indonesian youth culture is defined not by resistance to authority but by a strategic bricolage —blending spiritual conservatism with neoliberal consumerism and progressive civic engagement.
