Blockchain scalability remains a fundamental challenge due to the trilemma of decentralization, security, and throughput. This paper introduces BlockBlast76 , a novel consensus protocol that combines optimistic sharding with a verifiable random function (VRF) for leader election, achieving up to 76,000 transactions per second in adversarial network conditions.
