The most significant change in the Ismail UPD is the reimagining of the thumb cluster. Standard keyboards waste the strongest digits (our thumbs) on a single massive spacebar. The UPD configuration optimizes for split-keyboard users and standard staggered layouts alike, introducing a dedicated and "Backspace/Navigate" function under the thumbs.
