I. SUMMARY In South Park: Post COVID , the boys are all grown up. Stan lives a lonely, cynical life as an online whiskey consultant; Kyle is a lonely, cynical advice counselor; Cartman has converted to Judaism and become a Rabbi (much to Kyle's annoyance); and Kenny has become a famous scientist. Kenny has discovered the secret to time travel and plans to go back to the past to fix the future. However, Kenny dies of a new COVID variant before he can reveal his plan. The boys reunite at his funeral and discover that Kenny left them clues in his old stuffed animals. They realize that the only way to save the future is to go back to the past and fix the one thing that started it all: the pandemic. In South Park: The Return of COVID , the boys successfully travel back in time to the beginning of the pandemic. However, their interference creates a new timeline where COVID was never contained, leading to a dystopian future. They must travel back again to set things right, leading to a confrontation with a familiar foe from the past.
